We are asked why these piston barrel sets are better than our cheaper sets, the simple answer is the technically better type of piston ring used.

602cc, 74mm diameter, good for all 2cv6 from 1970 to 1990 (includes Dolly, Charleston).

9.0:1 CR as fitted on Dyane 6 and Ami 8. We prefer these rather than 2cv 8.5:1 sets, the extra compression gives more power and better response.

Top ring, RIF, rectangular nodular chrome faced cast iron with top side edge relief enables greater gas pressure to cylinder wall.

Middle scraper ring, N, rectangular grey cast iron napier hook.

Oil control ring, DSF, cast iron, slotted, coil spring loaded chromed double bevelled edge.
