A common oil leak with the Citroën 2CV engine is where the pushrod tubes connect to the crankcase, at this point a rubber seal is used that looks like a pair of spectacles.
The original rubber dries out and quickly hardens, which is why Burton have chosen Viton rubber for this product. This synthetic material is resistant to engine oil and high temperatures.
In addition, Burton have improved the shape of this pushrod tube seal rubber in such a way that it fits better around the push rod tubes, in the spring cups, and to the engine crankcase.
