Good original rubber cylinder shrouding is hard to find these days. The originals go hard from the engine heat and crack in the end, so Burton has produced the shrouding again, now in silicone rubber. That material stays flexible at the temperatures found in the engine bay, so the shrouding keeps its shape and stays put for years.

Compared with the steel version you notice the difference straight away: the rubber shrouding wraps around the cylinders more easily and settles into place without fighting you, the material absorbs more of the engine noise that steel simply passes through. This set makes the car quieter and the job more easy.

The set is made for the 2CV6 engine and also fits the other models with the modern 602cc engine. The mounting points match those of the original rubber shrouding. Changing from steel to rubber, you must drill just two extra holes in the fan housing.
