New rocker covers cast from aluminium. The rocker cover is made of aluminium because aluminium can conduct heat better. The rocker cover also has cooling ribs for extra heat conduction. Because of the material and the cooling fins, the cylinder head remains better cooled.

In addition to better cooling, the rocker cover also has a classic look, like the old 1960s 425cc engines.

The special Burton 2CV Parts rocker cover gasket can still be used provided that it is mounted the other way around but the standard rubber rocker gasket can also be used if it is first glued to the aluminium with a high quality rubber-toughened cyanoacrylate, epoxy glue or even an aerosol like 3M Super 77, NOT silicone or 'gasket-goo'.
