We had one of these on a 2cv outside our warehouse for a month - the car stayed protected, however we will not guarantee this to be 100% waterproof.

For long term storage of our own cars (when garage is not available) we prefer to use 2 of this breathable cover, one on top of the other rather than using a more expensive single cover, the top one becomes sacrificial, gathering moss etc., the one directly on the car stays clean and largely dry, the top one disposed of and replaced new relatively cheaply.
