Brake pipe compression union joint (gas style) for 3.5mm brake pipe. Non standard accessory repair part.

This is the same format compression joint as commonly used with gas pipes and water pipes, it fits only on to the bare prepared ends of 3.5mm brake pipe - it will not 'screw' onto anything else.

Properly assembled a compression joint of this size will withstand 3000psi - 100 times maximum recommended tyre pressure for 2cv.

Foot brake could generate as much as 1000psi on 2cv - on a power assisted other car 1500psi would be maximum.
